**GUITAR Solo - Creative Music**
Each participant is to perform his/her own original composition for either guitar solo or any instrumental ensemble grouping featuring a guitar.. A handwritten or computer-generated copy of the piece, which has been signed by the participant, and placed in a sealed envelope, must be given to the adjudicator liaison for the adjudicator's perusal at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class time. The participants are not required to perform from memory and no marks will be deducted if the music is used. Emphasis will be on the creativity of the composition but some consideration will be given to the accuracy of the score.

**GUITAR Solo - Quick Study**
The music for each of these classes will be selected by the adjudicator and available from the session secretary’s desk no sooner than 48 hours before the scheduled time of the class. It is the responsibility of each participant to pick up the music from the designated location of the guitar classes. Memorization is not required and marks will not be deducted if the music is used. However, memorization may be considered in the assessment at the adjudicator’s discretion.
